The Great Gatsby Book and Movie Review

Rating: 5
Truly a great classic.

Now that's how you introduce Gatsby: with glorious fireworks
and a dashing smile!

Hi everyone!  I was going to wait until June 1st to get this up and going, however, I only have 9 days until my due date and doubt I'll have much time to get anything done once the baby is here.  Also, with the film still in theaters, I wanted to get a head start for those of you who have been able to read the book and see the movie, as well as those of you who don't know if it's worth seeing in theaters.  Stand back.  Huge opinion coming:

DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO CRITICS' REVIEWS.  GO SEE THIS FILM!!!

Odd Thomas Book and Movie Review

Rating: 3.5

Hi everyone!

I want to thank one of our readers (Dressme4less) for recommending this book!  Thank you and I loved it!  I haven't read a Koontz book in a long time, so this was a nice treat, and I already have the second book in the series.

The Godfather: Part 1-Book/Movie Review

Rating: 4

Hi everyone!  Our discussion begins today, so please comment at any time!

I hate to admit, but I've only begun to begin book 2 in the novel.  Life's been a little crazy so I decided I  would do a part 1 and part 2 review of the book/film.

Drowning Ruth Book/Future Movie Review

Rating: 3.5

Holy cow everyone!  I'm sorry I was not ON IT today!  I've literally screwed up all my days this week either thinking it's a day ahead or a day behind.  My apologies.

So I finished the book today and I thought it was very good.  Not great, but good.  I enjoyed the storyline, but I felt there wasn't enough time with the characters before we were moving on to a new year or decade.  (I'm actually lost to how old Amanda and Ruth were several times throughout the book.)

Shoeless Joe Book/Movie Review

Rating 3

Dear Readers,

YAY!!!!!  I have finally been able to break away from two kids and a husband to go get some "me" time at our local Starbucks!  Now I can finally begin our review and discussion of Shoeless Joe. Thank you again for your patience

"If you build it, he will come"

If some of you are stumbling upon us for the first time, Shoeless Joe is the novel of the film Field of Dreams.  I am a huge, HUGE fan of the film and had never read the book until now.  Honestly, I am embarrassed to say that I didn't even know it was based on a book for the long before now.  I usually cry when I watch the movie, and I always feel uplifted and motivated to get "in tune" with my spiritual side.

The Devil in the White City Book/Future Movie Review

Rating 4

Hi everyone!  If you were able to read this or even just begin it, I hope you have enjoyed the history and story.  It was an incredible book recommended to me this summer by one of our local life guards.  Wow, I was so impressed with what I was reading.  To read the two stories simultaneously really gave the impact of good and evil a more powerful touch.
